Improved FAQs, Guides, and Walkthroughs -- After
a brief hiatus, our tomes of Secret of Evermore gaming knowledge have been
dusted off and reformatted for ease of use.

Several new projects are now on the horizon. These include
a blog, forum, comments, modernizing retro "Notepad"-style walkthroughs (i.e.
with graphics, tables, and formatting), and a maps section. Email requests
are welcome as to what is presently most desired.
Site Introduction and Background
Welcome to the web's central information and media resource for the game Secret of
Evermore. Released by legendary RPG-maker SquareSoft in 1995 for the Super
Nintendo, it was the company's only game developed in North America. Since
then, its dark and immersive world has captivated both casual gamers and those
with a deeper appreciation for the golden era of classic RPGs. This site is
dedicated to long-time fans as well as newcomers wishing to explore one of SquareSoft's greatest epics.
The game's engine features real-time combat, an immersive world, and a
ring-based menu system similar to Secret of Mana. Its production, however, was
done independently and from scratch by an American team. It is the author's
opinion that too few appreciate what amounts to far more than a mere rebranding
-- the hauntingly beautiful music of savant Jeremy Soule, ominous environments
based on real historical eras, and a never-ending barrage of fictional B-movie
references...
...the toaster dog is also pretty cool.
