2-Player Patch, ROMs, and Emulators

As of right now, Secret of Evermore is only playable with an original SNES cartridge, or by downloading the ROM and an emulator. One of the biggest gripes about this game's original release was its lack of multiplayer. As Brian Fehdrau commented in one of his inverviews, time constraints and implementation complexity were the culprits. Fortunately, those playing the US version of the ROM can apply this patch:

ZSNES or SNES9X users simply need drop the .ips file next to the ROM and rename it to match the ROM. Manual patching utilities are likely needed for other emulators.
